I know this isn't everyone, but the battery died on the camera and I had chores to get done, so forgive me.

Sad Heart

It is with the saddest heart that I let you all know that Devito passed away in his sleep last night, curled up with his Mom and litter mates.
He is at peace now, what an incredible fighter.

Here are tonight's weights on the kids, in order of birth:

Yellow collar girl - 2 lbs 6.8 oz

Light Pink girl - 3 lbs 1.2 oz

Dark Pink girl - 2 lbs 12.4 oz

Dark Green boy - 2 lbs 10.5 oz

Light Blue boy - 1 lb 4.3 oz <~ Devito

Purple Boy - 2 lbs 10 oz

Dark Blue girl - 2 lbs 8.2 oz

Everyone is gaining weight beautifully, of course my chunky monkey

The whole family!

Now since I have to work tomorrow, I'm going to try and catch an hour or two on the couch.  I couldn't even begin to tell you correct sex/colour combos, so please don't ask until I get some sleep!!

The boys

This is little Light Blue Boy, he was born outside when I took Envy out for a pee...good thing I'm a fast catcher!!

One minute (not even) later Purple Boy joined us.

When I look at the two of them side by side, all I can think of is that movie Twins, with Arnold Schwartenagger and Danny Devito!

I make no promises about colour right now on the boy, I look at him some ways and think I might see a brindle stripe or two and then I convince myself that he is fawn.

We have a long night ahead with no promises that we still won't avoid a c-section but at least we know that she gave it her best.

Possibility of a C-section

We ran another progesterone this am and it came back at 2.1 ng/ml, which means that she is chemically whelping, but her body might just not be listening to those chemicals.  The vet won't give me an answer one way or another, but says it's my call... so at this point m call is to give her the night to try and whelp normally, but have plans on being at the vets office at 

9 am for a c-section.

Not where I wanted this going, but I will not put Envy at risk over puppies.  So please think happy thoughts for her and the puppies!
